Teapots and Twirls Christmas CountdownNov 25 2012 · Tea dances
Ok, so it was still technically November but with exactly a month to go until Christmas, we thought we’d get the season off to a swinging start with a fabulously festive tea dance.
The day kicked off with a jitterbug stroll class, taught by the lovely Helena (thanks Helena!). Louis Louis Louis returned with all their usual awesomeness and they even played Christmas songs they’d learnt specially for the occasion. And the High Spirits Choir brought some Christmas classics, sung in swing-time to keep people dancing!
With free mulled wine, mince pies and a feast of other cakes and treats, it certainly got us in a Yuletide mood. And we raised a brilliant £57 for this month’s charity, Simon on the Streets, a Yorkshire charity who provide street-based help to those in need.
And so, as the scent of cinnamon and spice wafted in the air, we declared the festive season officially OPEN. Merry nearly-Christmas everyone!
